Social Media Tools

Social networks should be a key part of your SEO strategy. They won’t directly provide link juice, but they get your linkable content an audience, and a means of communicating with fans.

All aspects of growing a web presence are time intensive, so any tool that makes your tasks easier are welcomed, especially if they are free. Use these tools to post quicker and easier on the socials.

TIP – Use the free version of each for a different website. So website A uses Buffer, website B uses Later. With time you will learn them all, and maybe find a preferred service you are willing to pay for

Hootsuite is a leader, and pretty much the best in every aspect, and therefore is quite expensive. If you have the money, use Hootsuite. If not, buried away on their help files is how to use it for free, but it is limited to a mere two social accounts. Still, that halves your effort!

SmarterQueue seems to be the best for serious accounts with a lot going on, you know, planning things months in advance

Buffer isn’t as good as Hootsuite, but still awesome and efficient. Post to 3 channels for free.

Social Champ also lets you post to 3 channels for free, including YouTube and Google Business Profile. Niche!

I like the way Later prices things – the basic plan lets you post to one each of 6 different platforms, which is what any serious operator will do anyway. The free plan lets you post to each of Facebook/Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Twitter, and you can schedule them. If you pay, you get more users and profiles, and various tools. I am trialling it ROB – update this!

Twitter’s Tweetdeck is for power users. If your priority is using Twitter for more than just funscrolling, use this.

If you want to cheat on Instagram, and copy-and-paste other people’s posts, then there is a way, although it is not exactly easy. It is, however, easier than coming upm with your own content.

Not least but last is Dlvrit – awkwardly named, relatively cheap, and seems to offer (cheating) auto-posting from various sources. I am trying their free plan, they feel like the outsider to put money on. I am trialling it ROB – update this!
